Terms & conditions

Information about using this website and connecting with Sound Advice.

These Terms govern your access to and use of our website and services. By using this website, you agree to these Terms. Your provider will explain any additional service-specific agreements during intake.

1. Scope of services

Sound Advice offers counseling and coaching, including individual therapy, couples and family counseling, stress and anxiety management, trauma and grief support, and life and career coaching. Services are provided by licensed clinicians and certified coaches within their respective roles.

Website content and self-assessment reflections are general information and do not establish a provider–client relationship, provide a diagnosis, or replace individualized care. Our self assessment is not a clinical screening.

We do not offer emergency services. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911. For immediate mental health crisis support in the United States, call or text 988.

2. Eligibility and location

Contact us to confirm the service and provider appropriate for your age, needs and location. Minors require parent or guardian consent to participate in therapy or coaching. Online availability depends on the provider, service and the location where you attend the session.

3. Appointment scheduling and cancellation

Appointments can be arranged through our online scheduling link, by phone or by email. We request at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Missed appointments or late cancellations may incur a fee. Confirm any applicable fee with your provider.

4. Accounts and third-party services

This website does not offer a client login or payment checkout. Scheduling and other care-related tools may be provided through separate services. If you use an account with one of those services, keep your login details confidential and review its terms.

5. Fees, payments and insurance

Therapy services may be covered by select insurance plans. Coaching services are not covered by insurance. Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged. Confirm fees and coverage directly with our team before receiving services. Online transactions, where offered through a separate care process, use third-party processors; Sound Advice disclaims liability for third-party processing errors.

6. Confidentiality and privacy

Therapy confidentiality is governed by applicable federal and Florida law and the privacy and consent documents provided for your care. Coaching information is treated with respect and discretion, although the same HIPAA protections may not apply. Exceptions can include suspected abuse, risk of harm to self or others, or disclosures required by law.

The general website form is for inquiries. Do not use it to send medical records or urgent concerns. See our privacy policy for information about website data.

7. Online and telehealth services

Your provider will explain the platform and consent requirements for online sessions. Take reasonable precautions to protect your privacy and safety while attending. Contact us if you need assistance with access or technology.

8. Intellectual property

Website logos, service descriptions, images and written materials belong to Sound Advice or are used with permission. They may not be copied or reproduced without permission, except as permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

Sound Advice and its providers shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, our services or website, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

10. Modifications

We may amend these Terms. Updated Terms will be posted here and take effect upon posting.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida.
